Alcindo Sartori – Profile
Born: October 21, 1967
Nationality: Brazilian
Profession: Former professional football player / Football coach
Position: Forward
Alcindo Sartori is a former U-20 Brazil national team player who began his professional career at Flamengo. He went on to play for several major clubs including São Paulo and Grêmio, making a name for himself with his impressive speed and goal-scoring ability as a forward.
In the early 1990s, he joined Japan’s Kashima Antlers at the invitation of legendary player Zico. During his time at Kashima, he scored an outstanding 50 goals in 71 matches, greatly energizing the Japanese football scene.
His unique appearance and energetic playing style attracted media attention, leading to appearances on television and in commercials for companies such as Aderans and Nissin Foods, further boosting his popularity.
After his time with Kashima, he transferred to Verdy Kawasaki and then to Consadole Sapporo.
Following his retirement from professional football, Alcindo returned to Brazil where he operated a farm.
In February 2015, he was appointed head coach of Foz Cataratas, a women’s football team in Brazil.

Alcindo also appeared in TV commercials for Nissin Foods, one of Japan’s leading instant noodle brands.
His humorous and friendly character, combined with simple Japanese phrases, made him a beloved figure on Japanese television in the 1990s.
